Vorokhta is the best place for hiking. It is situated between best routes to the Chornohora mountain range where you can get with local bus taxi drivers for 15$, make 1 day hiking thrips or went with a tent. Vorokhta itself have many spots to see: old churches, old viaduct bridges, spring with healing water, old skii jump and super close path to Magura and Yahidna mountains and meadow Kukul with the most spectacular view to Carpathian mountains.

Calm and beautiful.
Calm and beautiful. Those are the best words to describe Vorokhta. Besides, there are many places to visit if you like hiking or buggy trips. Anyway, you should definitely bathe in a vat. I could recommend Khatky na Penkakh for that. And do not forget to visit the restaurant called Old Vorokhta in the city center. Once there, ask for a set of homemade liqueurs. I recommend Vorokhta for any kind of traveler - whether you travel alone, with a partner, family, or friends.

Nice and small town from which most of tourists begin their Carpathian trips - some go to Bukovel to ski in winter or just to have fun in summer, others go to explore Carpathians.
Make sure you have cash as there is only one ATM in the town (not far from the railway station) and shops accept only cash.
There's travel agency- Fayno tour located in the same area and they have all kinds of excursions and daily mountain trips for good prices.
If you stay in Vorokhta itself, you can always walk around - mountains are beautiful everywhere.

There is not much in the actual city: no museums, no special restaurants (Stariy Vorokhta is the best, but nothing really great), virtually no shops. This town is more like a tourist base to go to other nearby cities (Verkhovyna for museums, Yaremche for souvenirs, Bukovel for skiing, climing Mount Goverla) or to do other outdoor activities (camping, hiking, fourwheeling/quadrocycling, rafting, horseback riding). I was glad to choose to stay in a small hotel ("guesthouse") in Vorokhta for a very quiet, relaxing vacation, and traveling into the nearby towns when I felt like more activity.
The staff was so friendly that it really exceeded our expectations. We arrived after a mountain hike and just after our arrival a woman from the staff met us and literally made our evening being extremely friendly and helpful. Most of all we like the comfortable room we received, the territory with cute animals, calm neighborhood, and again VERY friendly family that owes the hotel. 10/10
This is a good place to stay if you want to hike. The Hotel staff is friendly and the food is very good. The hotel is located next to the entrance of the Hoverla area. From the hotel there is a 8km road that takes you to Zaroslyak, from which you can hike up to the summit of Hoverla. There are also many other hiking routes in the area.
Skarbivka consists small hotel and separate guest house. We hv booked a guest house for 7 persons. Private free parking at the site. Small outdoor pool. Very close to the train station, but, understood, no trains at night. Quiet. 5-10 minutes to walk to the center.
The entire hotel is built like a family house. You can smell the wood in the hotel's hall. We kinda liked that you need to put your shoes off in the lobby. Besides, the view from the balcony is amazing. I guess soundproofing is also okay.
Great location, close to the train station, however a bit high on the mountain slope. Awesome view from the 2nd floor rooms on the Vorokhta and the mountains. Cozy and spacious house.
The closest hotel to the train station is also home to the most helpful staff of any hotel I have been. The hotel has a very pleasant decoration with a good restaurant.
It's a very cozy place with a friendly staff. We had a nice and big hotel room for three people. The hotel is placed in a quiet place near the center of Vorohta.
Great option in Vorokhta, it is at the far edge of town which is great because it's very quiet. 20 min walk from train station. Would happily return!!!
