Overal beautiful island, great views, great beaches, comparable scenery to Amalfi coast, without the crowd. Good restaurants in the main city. Beautiful island, could have stayed at least another week, to explore places that we didn't get to see. Forio was a good base to stay in, and a lovely little town. Some lovely food places to dine. Other things that we really liked were: the two circular buses to take us everywhere around the island; Lacco Amena; Sant Angelo was really pretty; Parco Negombo - stunning thermal park - we only did a half day, but wished we'd done a full day. Ischia Porto was really lovely, especially Castello Aragonese d'Ischia, very well worth a visit. We weren't brave enough, but a scooter hire would get you to places inland where the bus didn't go. The island is an hour trip via boat from Naples and well worth the time to get there. We traveled to Ischia to get away and it really gave us a chance to relax. We specifically traveled there to visit the Giardini la Mortella, known as one of the most beautiful private gardens in Italy. It was magnificent. On another day we visited the Castello Aragonese which has a rich history over the past 2500 years. Ischia has charm and friendly people and we plan on returning to this little paradise.

Brilliant.
Brilliant. Definitely coming back I don't drive and was there solo and had a ball. Maybe not quite as walker friendly as i expected - easy to get buses around, but a few times i found google maps lied a bit about walkable paths... It was early May and everything was pretty empty. I liked that, but I suppose some of the larger restaurants and resorts i was recommended had a bit of a ghost town vibe. Could have spent every day at Posiedon spa and been very happy. The property is about a ten-minute walk from the centre of Ischia Porto and Via Roma (the main street). Our room was quite big enough for a married couple. We also had a lot of outside space with a sun-lounger, a table and sun-parasol. The breakfast was very good, continental style with a selection of fruit juices, croissants, cakes, yoghurts and a very good capuccino or espresso. Overall, we found it great value for money.

Appreciated the free shuttle service to the hotel’s private little beach club and also has a snack bar. Had a fantastic lunch at the pool with a delicious scialatielli pasta with mussels. Location is good, within a reasonable walking distance of Ischia Porto center and the beaches.

Didn't see any hotels on Ischia that I'd rather stay in and we explored almost the entire island. Taxis are rather expensive from Ischia Porto due to circuitous route so would advise either getting the bus to Forio then utilising the hotel's free shuttle bus or just phoning or using WhatsApp to contact the hotel to arrange pick up for less of a fee than the taxis charge at the taxi rank.

Breakfast is included and it is great and plentiful. The room was a bit on the small side, but we expected that. Again the view was incredible. Had a great little patio with table. Restaurants in the area were also delicious. The island was very cute and quaint and a nice relief from the crowds in the other parts of Italy. We will definitely go back. Pool was also fantastic.

The most important is: Mauro is a really nice and friendly host. He helps plan our journey in the beautiful island, give my girlfriend the medicine she needs when her stomach doesn't feel good, drive us to the port and even give us a gift when we left. He is kind host and friend. If we come back to Ischia later, we will definitely choose this hotel again.
