Easy to find, nice restaurant and bar, really lovely staff. We chose to stay in this town particularly for a family function, but Tarascon seems pretty enoughand well connected by if you wanted to visit a few bits of the Ariège in one trip . Seemed well priced compared to the three other hotels in the town and rooms were fine, clean and with good recently re-done bathrooms. The restaurant looks right on to the river Ariege and is lovely gif breakfast in the morning.

The staff and hotel were great. The restaurant’s food was not, but not a problem you can go somewhere else to go eat. Le Don John is great!

AVOID. They agreed to cancel my reservation when I couldn't arrive before their reception closed (it was actually still open with people checking in when I went past so they were lying). Having cancelled my reservation, they then fraudulently charged my card.

What a great place to stay.
What a great place to stay. The couple who run it are lovely - I felt like I was being welcomed into their home - a real cultural experience.
The rooms are lovely and very spacious.
We followed our hosts advice on where to dine for dinner - it was perfect.
Breakfast was wonderful - a fabulous array of home made yogurt, breads, cakes, preserves and all home made.

I'd stayed in several other hôtels during this trip and this one had the most comfortable beds (better than my own one at home), pretty rooms with excellent showers, a very nice breakfast either indoors or in the courtyard and an enormous garage for storing bikes. It's located right by the river so there lovely views to enjoy while having a drink from the bar. Guillaime and Sarah are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The region and the town are beautiful but I would come back here just to stay at this hotel again.

The view from the rooms and the location of the hotel are great, the breakfast room is splendid, the food served for breakfast is very good. And beautiful and calm Tarascon-sur-Ariège is well worth a visit, although it doesn't range among the best known holiday destinations in France. Just go there and have a look yourself! You will love the town!
Nothing is a problem for the owner - as I was arriving late, he sent me a step-by-step guide as to how to get into the hotel after closing time, leaving a mobile phone number in case of problems. Very warm welcome, its just a pity that I wasn't staying longer.
This is a very comfortable and inexpensive hotel by the riverside. They have a convenient garage to store your bicycle, too. The owners are friendly and helpful, and there is an excellent breakfast.
it is an old and friendly little Hotel without pretentions and we were given a room with a balcony looking over the river (Room 19). comfortable bed in a simple no nonsense room and clean bathroom.
Old family run hotel in the centre of town. Not many eating options ...need to reserve restaurants.
Good breakfast and the owner very kindly gave us some good information for onward travel.
my room was very clean and nice. bath is good. overall I enjoyed my stay. they have great restaurant in the hotel for diner. I like the taste of the foods that they served.
