The staff couldn't do enough for us, they were genuinely friendly, and seemed to appreciate us trying out our Spanish. Antonio was especially lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. This was despite it being the end of a very busy season.
Our room was at the top, with the large terrace, wow! What a great space and the view was to die for, with large tankers and yachts mooring up, with their lights twinkling in the night. (The floor below had much smaller balconies). Our room was just right, with the bonus of tea making facilities and the wonderful and unexpected bottle of Cava upon our arrival. A wonderful surprise and something larger chains could take note of! They really do know how to make their guests feel special here.
I will return. If not to stay, then I will most definitely visit the beach for the day and stop by the wonderful restaurant and to see the staff. Make sure you're hungry if you order the steak!! The continental breakfast (included with the room) was delicious and very filling, Tostada, cheese, ham, cake, coffee, fresh orange juice, jams... topped off with a view from the terrace of the beach and palm trees, with a huge dose of relaxing vibes

The images posted on booking were completely different from reality. The apartment was badly made with cero love.
The apartment numbers are very confusing and nobody told us which one was ours, we had to try every lock.

La ubicación del hotel y el trato excelente del personal
The hotel and accommodation was excellent. Couldnt ask for more, the room was large, roomy and no expense was spared. The balcony was good and overlooked the sea. The staff were very good, nothing was too much trouble for them. It is easy to get to the beach, just down a short road opposite the hotel. You can walk along the promenade and there are quite a few restaurants and chiringuitos. Come back inland two streets and you will find shops and quite a lot of bars and restaurants. We will be returning next year.

Comparing to many other beaches in Alemeria, Carboneras was a very relaxing place to stay. Not over exploited, not too many tourists, nice sandy beaches to visit, lots of places to eat great food and really not expensive.

Very interesting little town.
Very interesting little town. Some lovely shops and a super market on a Thursday. The fort is well worth a visit no charge at all for going in so very interesting and some fabulous old photographs. Everyone was so welcoming the tapas at all the bars are so tasty we didn't find a bar we didn't like

Beautiful town on the beach.
Beautiful town on the beach. Plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. Swimming in the sea was great. Market was interesting and fun to shop. Extremely friendly and accommodating hosts. Would go there again in a heartbeat.

Quite industrial at the southern end of the beach.
Quite industrial at the southern end of the beach. Generally the resort seems a bit “tired” and lacks any real appeal, in our opinion. At night we got badly ripped-off at a Moroccan owned restaurant be we walked into that situation with our guard down. That no doubt influenced our overall negative feelings about our short stay there. Anyway, we will not be returning there any time soon.

A little gem of a place.
A little gem of a place. Even thought there is a power station at the far end of the beach it didn't impose on us. The streets and pavements were very clean with lots of lovely Cactus gardens. Many eating places and bars which actually surprised us and staff were all so friendly where ever we went.
Although the hotel is a block back from the beach, we could see the sea from our window, which was a pleasant surprise. We could get to the beach in less than a minute and could hear the sea through the open window. The room was very pleasant, spotlessly clean, very basic but tastefully decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. We had a bit of a problem with the shower but the staff were super helpful and the problem was fixed in no time. All in all, for the budget price this is a great little hotel and we would definitely use it again.
We had an amazing time at Casabah. We've been going to Carboneras for many years and absolutely love this charming little village. We had stayed in Casabah in the past and the change in ownership did not make our experience any less amazing. Patrick and Anne are very welcoming and accommodating. They had great recommendations for restaurants and were helpful in all possible ways. We will definitely go back and stay with them when we return to Carboneras. The breakfast was delicious (especially the home made jams and local fruits).
Location is perfect. The beach is on a five meter walking distance. The staff is very helpful, although they hardly speak any English. Together with our very limited Spanish, this made us feel a bit helpless. Then again, we were in Spain, so that should be no minus. Talking with hands and feet and with a healthy dose of humour, we managed to get everything we needed. Breakfast was up to standard so our holiday was a success.
It's very centrally located, so the position is excellent because there are shops, restaurants, the bus stop to take a bus to Almeria or La Playa de los Muertos and the beach. It's quite basic but it was ok for my 2-night stay. There was a fridge in my room, which was very loud and I had to turn it off for night. The aircon was working, the wifi wasn't and the bed was quite comfortable.
The location is convenient and near downtown. Carboneras Castle, shops and restaurants are very close. The beach is not too far. Anything the typical tourist needs is at walking distance. Room rates are quite affordable. Breakfast not included.
Perfect location for the town of Carboneras. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is as new, nicely decorated, super clean, everything works and the beds are comfortable.
A fantastic place in Carboneras. Perfect for two couples or a family. Great facilities such as plunge pool on roof top deck. Everything you need is there.
