It is hard to comment objectively as this was low season and much of the restaurants and facilities were closed , but it is obvious there is much more in season. It is hard to review Golem as we mostly stayed at the hotel and its close proximity. There is a pathway by the beach which is not too long to walk. The are a few markets in very close proximity to the hotel.

Weather was warm and sunny during our stay and there was reasonably priced resort restaurants near by. Golem is the quieter beach down from Durres. This is a touristy destination. It does have lovely bars and restaurants but not the character if yre looking for the idillic beach scene. The best is the location and facilities. It is a very beautiful place, a lot of shows. I only didn´t feel so safe, because people who is not in the hotel can enter and use the swiming pool. My daughter get stolen by another child, who was not in the hotel and those people who are not in the hotel are using the chairs from the swimmingpool and sometimes we didn´t have a spot to sit. Another recomendation is to put more garbage cans, because the beach was full of cigarette butts.AAnonymousCroatia

Location was great as you could walk 20mins in each direction and have a number of restaurants and bars. The deck was large and was very nice to have in the evenings. Beach area was nice. People do start reserving spots early (7am). But the staff do a good job making sure no one takes more space then they should. Each room was entitled to 1 area (2 loungers and 1 umbrella). Left plenty of space and we never had a problem getting a spot on the beach. I felt the value was well worth it.

Luljeta is a wonderful host, she and her husband helped us with some useful information about restaurants and the beach. Overall supperb!
