Set within 10 km of Borneo Convention Centre Kuching and 15 km of Sarawak Stadium in Kuching, Seladah Stay features accommodation with seating area. Perfect location in a safe, peaceful neighborhood with groceries and shops within walking distance. The staff (Kevin) is very friendly and flexible. Very good cheap & price value because of your room and the large amount of facilities to use: shared kitchen with the ability to cook, living room with a big smart TV and a free washing machine (only to buy or to use your own washing capsules). Our rooms (we stayed here for multiple nights in multiple rooms because we kept extending) were very clean with comfy beds. Highly recommended when you are looking for a good stay in the beautiful city of Kuching!

Offering garden views, Merdeka Guest House 2 is an accommodation situated in Kuching, 5.5 km from Sarawak Stadium and 10 km from Borneo Convention Centre Kuching. The host is just from another world. I arrived late (around 22h30) and even though he likes to wake up at 4h30, we kept talking for about half an hour. Then, he goes: "do you want me to show you around?" >> he went on giving me a guided kuching tour in his car. He even wanted to buy me a drink but no shops were open at midnight. Besides this, he would leave traditional sweets for breakfast every day. Legend!!

Located in Kampung Kundasang, Spring Garden offers accommodations in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Mount Kinabalu, 24 km from Ranau. The room and surrounding are superb! Mr Lee is super nice and help us with luggage. He waited for us to arrive to show us the place. The garden is well taken care , my family and I enjoyed the place a lot with the magnificent view of mt kinabalu. The room come with heated floor- this is a very thoughtful design of the room/chalet.

Located in Damai, Nanga Damai Homestay features a garden and terrace. Among the various facilities of this property are a shared lounge and a bar. Very welcoming host who is happy to help you and take you to and pick you up from different locations (for example Damai beach). The property has a great view over some lush jungle and if you are lucky you can even spot the proboscis monkey from the garden! The rooms are cute, AC works fine and the beds are comfortable and clean. Beautiful sunset vibes with the sea in the distance as the homestay faces west. Our best stay in Borneo!

Bike and Tours Bed and Breakfast is located in Lahad Datu. It features a restaurant and offers complimentary parking (upon availability) and rooms with free WiFi access. Clean, comfortable rooms. I was upgraded and got a private bathroom. Staff were all so warm and welcoming. They were able to help me do laundry with a turn around of about 6 hours. Incredible food, worthy of the stay itself.

Set in Sandakan in the Sabah region, VIRTA Guesthouse has a balcony. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. VIRTA Guesthouse is great if you prefer the comfort of having your own place while visiting Sandakan. We enjoyed all the space we had and the cozy/functional outside area where we were able to cook some meals. Places like the Orangutan Sanctuary and Rainforest Discovery Center are about a 20 minute drive from the house. It is pretty easy & affordable to use Grab (Malaysia's Uber) to get back and forth, though having a car would be more comfortable. The host is also very responsive and friendly.
