Set in South Shields, 800 metres from Sandhaven Beach and 11 km from Stadium of Light, South Shore Guest House offers accommodation with free WiFi in a historic building. It is situated 16 km from Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art and provides luggage storage space. Sage Gateshead is 16 km from the guest house and Theatre Royal is 17 km away. The accommodation was very central to everything. The hosts were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We got an early check-in which was great as we'd been travelling from the night before.

The units come with carpeted floor and feature a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, a dining area, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom with shower and a hair dryer. At the guest house, all units come with bed linen and towels. Good location for an event we were attending at the Rugby Club. Very secure with coded entrance and key safe box. Spacious room, clean and comfy with towels and linen provided. Good sized en suite shower room. Great to have the option of a shared lounge/kitchen area as well. Plenty of places to eat/drink right on the doorstep.

Restaurants, bars and takeaways are within 300 metres of Beechwood and Newcastle’s busy city centre can be reached after a 40-minute journey on the metro. Scenic clifftop walks can be enjoyed on the Leas, which is just 1 mile away. The condition of the room is very clean and staffs are friendly. Excellent breakfast.

Set in a residential street, this large Victorian house is only a 2-minute walk to South Shields town centre, parks and beaches. It has nicely decorated bedrooms and free parking.

A full English breakfast is available. Restaurants and pubs can be found a 5-minute walk away and special diets can be catered for on request. On arrival met with a smile, room was lovely and spacious, breakfast was the best I have ever had with lots to choose from.Paul was very friendly would recommend this property if in South Shields

Located on a quiet street, The Metropolitan Guest House is less than 5 minutes’ walk from the lively town centre and metro rail station. The room was so nice and all good facilities in the room. Was very comfortable

A Visit England award-winning full English breakfast, cooked in the open-plan kitchen, is served every morning in the dining room. A choice of cereals is also available and special diets can be catered for on request. From the 18th of September 2023, for the duration of 3 weeks, we will be unable to serve a full breakfast due to having the kitchen refitted, we will be providing continental options instead.

Room and common areas immaculately clean. Breakfast fresh, tasty and many choices all freshly cooked to order.

Guests can relax with DVD players in each room, along with tea/coffee making facilities. My experience was exceptional. Beautiful accommodation, friendly staff, amazing breakfast. Less than 5 minutes walk to the beach. It really made by trip. Please support these small businesses. They truly made me feel welcome and couldnt do enough for me. 5 star place.
