Hotel in Inverness ( 0.8 miles)
This new hotel, which opened March 2020, is set in Inverness, 14 km from Inverness Castle, Courtyard by Marriott Inverness Airport offers accommodation with a restaurant, private parking, a fitness... Although I'm an American living in Europe and have no love lost for the profit-is-everything mentality that is so much of Americana, it was such a delight to come to a hotel built with American know-how after being in so many older or refurbished hotels that you find in so much of Europe. Clean, efficient, quiet, well-lit... everything you could possibly want in not just an airport hotel, but any hotel. We would have gladly stayed in that hotel our entire visit if we could have.

Lovely little village with modern touch. Has local well stocked shop and pharmacy. Croy strikes me as a great spot to tour the Highlands, it sits between Inverness and Nairn (15 minutes eitrher way), also 5 minutes from Nairn airport. This apartment is top top class.
Tornagrain is a 'new' village on the outskirts of Inverness, near the airport. It was very quiet and there was a local shop selling most of your requirements, just across the road! The apartment was very good and I would recommend it to others.
Previously lived in village return to visit family hope to settle back here in retirement lovely village by the Moray firth ideal location for touring area Fort George with a visit If you want a quiet location to stay Ardersier is the place to stay good bus service to Inverness good B&B in village
The service we received when we arrived was poor and unwelcome. We were told me couldn't eat until 7.30, there were 6 tables and 12 guests. When we started our meal we were the only ones eating. Had to then wait an hour for a pizza. Receptionist, a young lad tried to help with our questions but kept disappearing not his fault. We had a 11.30 flight but was told we couldn't have breakfast until 9.00am. We eventually negotiated 8.45. Now most if this may be covid but again only one person was having breakfast when we went in.Despite the owner being better with breakfast the poor service hadalready tarnished my view
It is a very pretty village with a lovely long promenade- type walkway round a bay and fab views. It is very friendly and helpful and only a stone’s throw from Inverness airport. The Star Inn is a really nice place to eat- their breakfasts and evening meals were really good. Sometimes my daughter and her 18 month old baby were with us and staff were cheerful, helpful and accommodating.
did not find out how good the busses was until our last days due to it was Easter week / weekend all day bus ticket was around £8 ( 1/4/23 price ) however if you have a uk bus pass its free
