Very near to the beautiful sea. The staff were amazing. In my rush to catch my train in had accidentally left some of my medication back at home and I need these to keep me alive. Luckily my son sent them by post and the reception team called my room immediately when they arrived the following morning. The swimming pool and other facilities were clean and inviting.

You need to book well in advance if you want to watch the Black Cats at the stadium of light! There is a nice railway connection to nearby Seaham if you want to visit. You can walk along the Wear through a sculpture park and the city centre is excellent for cheap food and drink.

Sunderland is a lovely city with lots of things to see and do. The coast here is beautiful with interesting beaches and walks. The people we spoke to were welcoming and friendly everywhere we went. Everything the people were generous in there attitude towards visitors there was plenty to do and visit public transport was readily available prices across the board were comparable to normal residential areas unusual for a top tourist attraction
